HARVEY HENRY STOEHR
Harvey Henry Stoehr, son of Rudolph J. and Sophie Weihe Stoehr, was born on August 20, 1896 at Elgin, Iowa. He died at the Veterans' Hospital, Oakland, California, October 31, 1962.
He was graduated from the Postville High School.
Harvey Stoehr was united in marriage to Esther Wirkler in 1917 at Monona. To this union one son Richard J. was born.
Surviving are his son Richard J. Stoehr of Berkley, California and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife who died in 1931.
Harvey Stoehr saw military service in the army from August, 1918 to January, 1919.
Mr. Stoehr was a hardware merchant in Luana, Dubuque and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion. He attended the Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids.
Funeral services were held at the Schutte Funeral Home Monday at 1:00 p.m., with the Rev. Walter T. Martin in charge of the rites. Burial was in the Monona cemetery.
