Funeral services for Mrs. Walter Leviness, Pleasant Ridge farm woman, were held yesterday.

Anna Catherine White was born at Fort Atkinson, Iowa, May 19, 1867 and passed away at her home on Pleasant Ridge April 3, 1933, at the age of 65 years, 10 months and 15 days. When a small child, she came to Clayton County with her parents, where she spent her girl-hood in the vicinity of Farmerburg. She taught school in various districts of the county.

She was united in marriage to Walter Leviness of Monona, December 29, 1898. She leaves, besides her husband, five sisters and one brother: Mrs. Henry Kranbeer, and Mrs. Eli Sheppard of Luana, Iowa; Mrs. Charles Mentzer, Mrs. William Turner and Edward White of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Mrs. Charles Cummings of Rawlins, Wyoming. She also leaves a number of nephews and nieces.

On the 5th day of March 1899 she and Mr. Leviness moved to a farm on Pleasant Ridge where they have since made their home. She helped to organize the Ladies' Aid Society of the Pleasant Ridge M.E. church, and was an active member as long as the Church was kept open. Since the closing of the Church she has held her membership in the Marquette church. She was very fond of children and loved to gather them together at her home. She was also a lover of nature and the beautiful. She roamed the woods for rocks and plants, which she brought home to beautify her yard and garden with.

She will be missed, not only by her husband, but the whole community.
