I am not related and have no further information, just sharing articles found in an old scrapbook that belonged to Mrs. Clara (Jones) McCartney.

Daniel S. Moore Buried Saturday
Had Lived at Fred Moser Home 3 Months
Daniel S. Moore, who had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Moser for the past three months, died at their home last Friday morning at the age of 74.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Gill Chapel with the Rev. G. S. Hartong of the Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in the Oelwein Cemetery.

Mr. Moore was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Moore. He was born at Sherrill Mound, Illinois, one of ten children and came to Dubuque with his parents when still a small boy. He became an engineer on the Great Western railway and served in that capacity until failing health forced him to retire.

Surviving him are three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Lillian Sherwood of Waterloo, Mrs. Rose McLane of Garber, Mrs. F. L. Jea of Mason City, Lewis Moore of Garber and Joe Moore of Mason City.
