Untimely Death Calls Eldred Ash, Aged 46, At Muskegon, Mich.
Word was received here Monday of the death of Eldred A. Ash which occured at his home in Muskegon, Mich. Monday forenoon following a stroke of paralsis suffered after he was taken ill Friday evening, october 25.

Eldred A. Ash was born near Edgewood on Sept. 15, 1894, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ash. His education was begun in the rural school near their farm home; continued in the Edgewood high school from which he graduated in 1913. He graduated from Iowa State Teachers College and taught his first year of school in a rural school near Lamont. He taught seven years in the Wood and the Elk Creek schools east of Edgewood.

He was called in to service of the United States Army and saw 14 months of service in France with the 82nd Division. When he returned to America at the close of the war he again took up teaching. For five years he was at North English and then he went to Muskegon, Mich., where he has since been teaching.

In 1936 he was united in marriage to Miss Julia Rawson of Muskegon and is survived by her. Also surviving to mourn his untimely death are his parents, two sisters, Mrs. David Essman of Swanton, Nebraska and Miss Laurel Ash at home, and one brother, Raemond Ash of Ayrshire, Iowa.

Funeral services were planned for Thursday afternoon in the Congregational Church here in charge of the Rev. A. H. Meyer. Burial will be in the Edgewood cemetery.
