DEATH COMES TO MRS. ANNA RULON AT HOME OF HER DAUGHTER
Death came last Friday morning, November 1, to Mrs. Anna Rulon, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emory Ash. She had been in failing health for several years and last spring decided to give up her home and live with her daughter. She was 68.Anna Scott, daughter of John and Ann Scott, was born near Garnavillo, Iowa, March 15, 1872. she attended the public schools and developed the fine qualities which made her beloved and respected by all who knew her. In early life she had learned to overcome obstacles and endure the hardships of early pioneer life.
She united in marriage to William Kelley Rulon on October 20, 1895. This couple enjoyed one another's companionship until death came to Mr. Rulon on February 27, 1927. Two daughters were born to this union, Annie and Jeanette, the latter passing away in infancy. A brother, Dr. James McDonald Scott of Chicago preceded her in death.She leaves to mourn her passing besides her daughter, one sister, Mrs. Erie Rulon of Manchester and one brother, Irving W. Scott of Edgewood, other near relatives and a host of friends.

EDGEWOOD: Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Rulon were held from the Wood church on Sunday afternoon at two o'clock. The Rev. A. H. Meyer and the Rev. Warren Feller both made talks. Burial was made in Mt. Harmony cemetery where an infant daughter was buried.
Mrs. Rulon was born March 15, the daughter of John and Anna Scott, near Garnavillo. On October 20, 1895, she was united in marriage with William Kelly Rulon and to this union two daughters were born, Anna, now Mrs. Emory Ash, and Jannette, who died in infancy. Mr. Rulon died on February 27, 1927.
This last spring Mrs. Rulon moved to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ash, where she was cared for until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dr. James Scott of Chicago.
Surviving are Mrs. Ash and one sister, Mrs. Earl Rulon of Manchester, and one brother, Irving W. Scott of Edgewood. Mrs. Rulon was a wonderful neighbor and made friends with all whom she came in contact. She will be greatly missed by her relatives and her hosts of friends.
