Uncle of Mrs. F. R. Minkler Dies
Mrs. F. Ray Minkler received news last week of the death of her great uncle, Judge I. N. Sullivan, whose home was in Boise, Idaho. Judge Sullivan was a member of the fourth pioneer family to settle Coffins Grove township. The other three families were Coffin, Baker, Minkler and all built log houses and proceded to carve for themselves real homes in the new country.Judge Sullivan was the first chief justice of the Supreme Court of the state of Idaho. In 1891 he admitted to the bar that distinguished American statesman, William E. Borah, a circumstance to which Judge Sullivan always pointed as a high light of a long life of eminent service.
He is survived by one son who is a lawyer in Idaho, and one brother, Frank Sullivan of Masonville.
