I am not related and have no further info. The source is an old scrapbook belonging to Clara "Jones" McCartney, obituaries are glued in a book, not many with dates on them.
Mrs. Addie Southwick Dies at Age of 76 Years
Mrs. Addie Southwick died at her home here Sunday evening, January 17 after an illness of a few days, although she had been an invalid for several years. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Platt Funeral Home with the Rev. T. Richardson Gray, pastor of the Congregational church in charge. Music for the service was sung by Mrs. F. Ray Minkler and Mrs. F. I. Smith with Miss Margaret Kirk as accompanist.
The casket was attended by Ed Bissell, Isaac P. Gates. Gilbert Walters, Bert Burgin, John McDonough and E. J. Schacherer. Burial was made in the Edgewood cemetery.As Addie Gardner she was born at Masonville, Dec. 24, 1860, the daughter of two of Delaware county's pioneer school teachers, Henry Gardner and Elizabeth Blanchard Gardner.
In 1895 she was united in marriage to Arthur Southwick, who preceded her in deah about six years ago.
Mrs. Southwick was known to her many acquaintances as a good wellmeaning friend in need, and a true Christian, doing always what she believed was right. She leaves one son, Seward of Edgewood; three sisters, Mrs. Della Sheldon and Miss Fannie Gardner of Flint, Mich., and Mrs. Anna Lee of Belle Plaine, Iowa; besides six grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
During her declining years the ministries of her son and family, with also that of her sisters has been of much comfort and was appreciated.
