Shirley Collins

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 29, 1995 from Schultz's Funeral Home in Monona for Shirley F. Collins, 65, who died Christmas Day at Finley Hospital in Dubuque. Pastor Gary Dobbins officiated.

The daughter of Clyde and Carrie Mason Hinman, she was born July 6, 1930 in Monona. She graduated from the Luana high school.

Shirley and Robert (Slab) Collins were married July 15, 1950 at the Luana Methodist Church. They lived in Luana until 1992. She worked at Monona Wire Corporation for 10 years.

Survivors include her husband; a son Clyde of Rapid City, SD; a daughter Robin (John) Walter of Bellevue; a granddaughter, and a sister, Norma Riveland of Luana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Kim; a daughter Holly in infancy, a grandchild, and 2 sisters, Helen Neverman and Lois Carnes.

Burial was in the Luana City cemetery. Casket bearers were Larry Riveland, Bryce Neverman, Brian Denny, Dave Miehe, Bob Fosdal and Ken Neverman.
