Funeral services for Michael Joseph Ruddy, 76, 252 Chicago st., secretary and past master of Argenta Masons, who died Friday at 5:09 p.m. in a Salt Lake hospital after a stroke, will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Masonic temple, 650 E. South Temple, by Rev. George J. Weber, pastor of First Congregational church. Services will be directed by Argenta lodge. Friends may call at 574 E. 1st South until 1 p.m. Tuesday and at the Masonic temple one-half hour before services.
A son of Michael and Mary Fitzgibbons Ruddy, he was born Jan. 22, 1871, in North McGregor, Iowa. He had been a resident of Salt Lake City for 47 years. His wife, Bertha L. Ruddy, died in 1936.
Mr. Ruddy was a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite and had been secretary of Argneta lodge No. 3 for 13 years. He was past master of Carbon lodge No. 16, F & AM, and a 32nd degree Mason.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Barnett, Mrs. Ruth Higham and Mrs. Florence Odenwalder, all of Salt Lake City; three sons, Thomas Ruddy, Salt Lake City; Jack Ruddy, Park City, and Richard Ruddy, Hiawatha, Carbon county, and five grandchildren.
