GUTTENBERG, Iowa -- Steve P. Ronek, 43, of Guttenberg, formerly of Bernard, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at New Wine Park, after a short illness.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Guttenberg, with the Rev. Tom Martin officiating. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Peosta.
He was born on Sept. 27, 1958, son of James and Loretta (Johnson) Ronek. He married Jeanne Kruse on Feb. 14, 1988, at St. John's Lutheran Church.
Steve was self employed as a logger and enjoyed woodworking.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jeanne Ronek; mother, Loretta Ronek, of Cascade; three sons, Jesse Ronek, of Orlando, Fla., and Skyler and Shae Ronek, both of Guttenberg; seven sisters, Agnes Gregorich, of Dubuque, Marge (Steven) Willenbring, of Dyersville, Grace (Dan) Pfieler, of Holy Cross, Joyce (Dave) Link, of Springtown, Texas, Terri (John) Coffey, of Peosta, Linda (Joe) Pfieler, of Watertown, Minn., and Leona (Dean) Lehman, of Epworth; four brothers, Charles (Charlotte) Ronek, of New Vienna, Leonard (Holly) Ronek, of Brooklyn, Wis., Wilfred Ronek, of Bernard, and David (Diane) Ronek, of Farley; a granddaughter, Nina Ronek; many nieces and nephews; and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James.
