DONALD D. URIELL

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garnavillo, August 24, 1973 for Donald D. Uriell. Msgr. Ament officiated, assisted by Father Irvin Matt and Msgr. Klassen. Robert DeSotel was the organist and accompanied Mrs. Charlotte King of St. Peter, Minn. and the St. Joseph Church Choir. Mr. Uriell died August 21 at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital after a brief illness.

Pallbearers were John Uriell, Ed Uriell, Bruce Collins, Francis Kister, Harold Matt, and Walter Szemkus. Honorary pallbearers were Danny and Dave Collins.

Donald Uriell was born June 3, 1914 in Read Township, the son of Joseph and Matilda Brannon Uriell. He was united in marriage to Viola Catherine Matt on May 16, 1942. They own and operate the Uriell Rest Home in Garnavillo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Zita, and a brother, Joseph. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, Viola, his son, James of Forrestville, Md. and his daughter, Mrs. Eldon (Patricia) Hansel of Edgewood; 4 grandchildren, Michael and Michelle Uriell and Todd and Kristine Hansel; 3 sisters, Stella Uriell, Mrs. Joe (Coletta) Kister, Mrs. Joe (Madonna) Collins, and 1 brother, Virgil Uriell.
