Knut Christianson

Services were conducted Monday, December 13, 1971 at Norway Lutheran church, St. Olaf, for Knut Christianson who died Friday, December 10 at the Community Memorial Hospital, Postville. The Rev. Robert Henriksen officiated.

Knut Christianson, son of Carl and Betsy Halstenson Christianson was born in Wagner Townhip, Clayton county, September 2, 1898. He was baptized in the Norway Lutheran Church.

He received his education in the rural schools of Clayton county. During his lifetime he worked as a farm hand, and for a time, sawed lumber.

Mr. Christianson was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Anna and a brother Edwin.

Survivors include 4 sisters, Mrs. Julia Peterson, Mrs. Alma Gunderson, Mrs. Nellie Landsgard of Postville; Mrs. Will (Gunda) Seely of Wauzeka, Wisconsin; 2 brothers, Thomas of Des Moines and Henry of Wauzeka, Wisconsin, 19 nieces and nephews and other relatives.
