Funeral services for Kenneth A. Holly, age 92, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Entombment will be at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Kenneth A. Holly, son of Albert J. and Anna (Chapek) Holly, was born on December 29, 1919 in Clayton County near Monona, Iowa. Ken married Helen M. Trappe on January 31, 1942 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was a masonry superintendent and warehouse manager for O.F. Paulsen for over 51 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church, the Bricklayers Union and Mount Hermon Masonic Lodge. Ken enjoyed working, gardening, was an avid baseball fan and a die hard Cubs fan. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Kenneth A, Holly died at Mercy Hallmar in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Helen who died in 2007, a daughter, Judith Burton, two sisters, Ellen Voss and Marjorie Kliefoth, and a brother, James Holly.

He is survived by his daughter, Nancy (Tom) Steinke of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, four grandchildren, Clay Burton, Kelly Steinke, Stacey Steinke, and Joel Steinke, six great-grandchildren, Brooke, Sarah, Owen, Claudia, Vivian, and Zachary, and a brother, Louis (Carole) Holly of Monticello, Iowa;
