Stanley W. Breckler, 81, of McGregor died Monday, July 4, 1994 at the Prairie Health Care Center in Prairie du a Chien.

He was born August 16, 1912 at Marquette, Iowa to William and Frances Polodna Breckler. He married Kathryn Miller on Dec. 31, 1935 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in McGregor. She died February 25, 1994.

He worked for the Milwaukee Railroad for 48 years as a a conductor.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in McGregor with Father John A W. Moran officiating, with interment in the church cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Thornburg Funeral Home in McGregor.

Surviving are four sons, Tom of McGregor, Joe of Prairie du Chien, Phil and Bob, both of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two grandchildren, one step-grandchild and one great-grandchild; a sister, Virginia, Mrs. Dan Gokey of Prairie du Chien.

He was also predeceased by his parents and a daughter Mary.
