Emma Elizabeth Moody, 90, of Chester, IA, formerly of Marquette, died Saturday, April 13, 1991, at the Howard County Hospital in Cresco.

Emma was born Dec. 26, 1900, at Marquette to Bernard and Edith (Schaffer) Fortcamp. She married H. Everette Moody in April 1923 at Marquette. She worked as a waitress in the Ferris Hotel and the Burke Hotel. In 1979 she moved to Chester.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Everette, Jr.,; and one grandson.

Survivors include one son, Richard, of Waukon; one daughter, Pat Truman, of Chester; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 16, at 2 p.m., at the Thornburg Funeral Home in McGregor with the Rev. James Rozendaal officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
