Mildred R. Nicholson, 73, of 418 South Buchanan Street, Prairie du Chien, died Sunday, May 7, 1989, at her home.

She was born March 6, 1915, in Ferryville to William and Rose Cox Seymour. She married John Nicholson in La Crosse on Jan. 4, 1934.
She was retired from the 3M Company in Prairie du Chien.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Prairie du Chien with the Rev. Gary Grindeland officiating, and burial in the Ferryville Cemetery. The prayer vigil was held Monday at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien.

Surviving are her husband, John; a son, Earl of Prairie du Chien and a daughter Marlene Bernhard of Monona, Iowa; a brother, Glen Seymour of Richland Center, three sisters, Edna Trautsch of Eastman, Eva Gorgerson of Rockford, Ill. and Evelyn Hillman of Prairie du Chien; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grand-children.
