Berniece (Bonnie) Friedlein of Hazel Green, WI, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 1988, at Southwest Health Center Nursing Home in Cuba City, WI.
The daughter of John and Amelia Kase Byrnes was born Aug. 26, 1907, in Platteville, WI. She was a member of the Ladies' Aid Society of Faith Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Linden; her parents; and one brother, James Byrnes.
Berniece worked at Memorial Hospital of Iowa County in Dodgeville, WI, Orchard Manor in Lancaster, WI, Xavier Hospital in Dubuque, and the Municipal Hospital in Guttenberg.
Survivors include her second husband, Emil Friedlein; three sons, James and Joan Linden of Darlington, WI, Dale and Marita Linden of Cuba City, WI, and Donald and Joan Linden of Stoughton, MA; a stepson, Gordon Friedlein of Hazel Green, WI; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Dan (Julie) Bolt of Clinton and Mrs. Curt (Marie) Cruse of Cedar Rapids; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; seven step-grand-children; two sisters, Mrs. Leonard (Clara) Klaas of Platteville, WI, and Mrs. Lena Lochner of Rockford, IL; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Cuba City, WI, with burial in Hillside Cemetery in Platteville, WI.
The Haesdenshield Funeral Home of Cuba City was in charge of arrangements.
