Wilkins, Grace C. (Moeller) 1925 - 1986

Grace C. Moeller Wilkins was born April 30, 1925 at Luana, Iowa the daughter of William and Ella (Funk) Moeller. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Luana. She received her education at the Luana Public School.

On Dec. 14, 1945 Grace was united in marriage to Kenneth Wilkins at the Little Brown Church in Nasuha, Iowa. To this union four sons and one daughter were born. Kenneth and Grace lived in Prairie du Chien, until moving to Seneca, in 1962. She lived in Seneca until the time of her death. Grace died Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien following a long illness. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary Eastman Post 252.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Dean, who died in 1952; two brothers, Ervin Moeller and Orlando Moeller, and one sister, Florence.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth; sons Dwight of Genoa, Dale of Onalaska, and Doyle stationed with the U.S. Navy in Japan; one daughter, Dixie, Mrs. Donald McCullick of Seneca; five grand-children; one brother Wilbert Moeller of Dyersville, and two sisters Irene, Mrs. Lloyd Meyer of Garnavillo and Delores Fischer of Prairie du Chien.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 25, at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Prairie du Chien, with Rev. Gary Grindeland officiating. Pallbearers were Roger Moeller, Larry Meyer, Paul Fischer, William Fischer, Dennis Wilkins, and Keith Wilkins.

Burial in Council Hill Cemetery rural, McGregor, Iowa. Schultz Funeral Home, Monona, was in charge of arrangements.
