Funeral services were held for Roy Henry Eiffert on Fri., Jan. 17, 1975 at 2 p.m. in the Garden City United Methodist White Church in Monona. Rev. Raymond Pacholke officiated. Music was provided by a men's quartet, consisting of Jackson Turner, David Schlitter, Harlan Hass, and John Wachter. They were accompanied by Calvin Bechtel, organist.

Honorary pallbearers were Arthur Harnack, Grover Miller, Harvey Debes, Arthur Seeland, Martin Eilers, Art Riedesel, Jerry Luppes, Everett Mathis, and Jerry Pavlis. Pallbearers were Clarence Thorson, Harold Nelson, Herb Zurcher, Kevin Kammerer, Kenneth Kammerer, and Arlyn Schroeder. Burial was in Monona City Cemetery.

Roy Henry Eiffert, son of Henry and Elizabeth Ulrich Eiffert, was born July 17, 1898 in Giard Township near Monona. He passed away Jan. 13, 1975, at the age of 76 in San Juan, Texas, at his winter home.

On June 2, 1928 he was united in marriage to Ida Anna Knoll of Grimes, Iowa. They made their home on the family farm until 1945 when they moved to Froelich. In his early years of farming, Mr. Eiffert raised and showed purebred Holstein cattle and Belgium horses. After moving, he engaged in the turkey business, both hatching and raising them.

Roy was baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical Fellowship at Salem Prairie Church near Froelich. During his lifetime he maintained his membership in the Pilgrim Evangelical Church, later the Garden City United Methodist Church.

He leaves to remember him, his wife, Ida; and their three children: Mrs. Justus (Dolores) Kammerer of Monona, LeRoy of Marshalltown, and Robert of Phoenix, Ariz.; thirteen grand-children, one great-grandson, several cousins, nieces and nephew, and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Blanche and Esther.
