Funeral services for Howard Kishman were held Saturday, October 20, 1973, at Schultz Funeral Home, Monona, Iowa. He obtained the age of 78 years, 11 months, 25 days. He passed away at the Central Community Hospital, Elkader, Iowa, after a short illness. He was born on a farm south of Luana, October 22, 1894, the son of Henry and Harriet Sheppard Kishman. He shared his home in Monona with his sister, Carrie, for approximately 20 years. Upon her death he went to live with his sister, Mrs. Cora Moses, with whom he made his home the past 16 years. When his sister, Mrs. Moses, gave up housekeeping because of failing health in July of 1972, he made his home with a nephew, Keith Kishman, and family of Monona. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and four brothers. Burial is in the Monona City Cemetery.
