Zachary Luis Sherman, 17, died Sunday, Oct 1, 2000, from injuries suffered in an auto accident near Colesburg. Services: 1 p.m. Thursday, Trinity United Methodist Church, Edgewood, by the Rev. Kent Newlon. Burial: Edgewood Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Zachary was born May 22, 1983, in Manchester, to Neil and Jane (Keck) Sherman. He was raised and educated in the area where he was a junior at Edgewood-Colesburg High School. Zachary was active in football, wrestling, band and was on the student council. Zachary was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, L.U.G. and achieved Life rank in the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed lifting weights and playing the piano.

Survivors include his parents, Neil and Jane Sherman; two brothers, Adam of Cedar Rapids and Travis of Edgewood; paternal grandparents, Keith and Ruth Sherman of Edgewood; and maternal grandparents, Warren "Buck" and Wanda Keck of Colesburg.
