Michael Ethan Hansel, 17, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, as a result of an auto accident near Colesburg. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Colesburg United Methodist Church, Colesburg, by the Rev. Scot Kisker. Burial: Bethel Cemetery, Osterdock. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today, Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Michael was born March 28, 1983, in Manchester, the son of Wesley and Colleen Wiskus Hansel. He was a senior at Edgewood-Colesburg High School, where he enjoyed art class and received good grades. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, paintball shooting, Grandpa's farm, four wheeling, motorcycles and being with family and friends.
Survivors include his parents, Wes and Colleen; two brothers, Terry and Kody Dempster; maternal grandparents, LaVern and Faye Wiskus of Colesburg and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Amanda and Howard Hansel and his uncle, LeRoy Hansel.
