Richard E Hultgren
Richard E Hultgren, 72, Cedar Rapids, died April 10, 1987, in his home, following a short illness.
He was born June 22, 1914, McGregor. He married Della M. Knapp on March 16, 1947 in Rockford, IL.He was a shipping clerk for Rockwell-Collins prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Hanford American Legion Post 5. He served in the Coast Guard in World War II.
Surviving are: his wife; two daughters, Denzel Coberly of Marion and Dixie Hunter of Cody, Wyoming; four sisters, Alice Clough of Dubuque, Irene Henkes of McGregor, Jean Smith of Rockford, IL and Delores Beyhl of Port Byron, IL and six grandchildren.
Services were on April 13 in the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Leroy Bauman of Kenwood Park United Methodist Church officiated.
Graveside services and burial was at 4 p.m. on Monday at the Norwegian Cemetery, McGregor.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
