CASSIDY, MCTAGGART, OCONNOR

Iowa Deaths
Strawberry Point - Patrick J. Cassidy, 73, Monday at his home here following a stroke; born at Cavan, Ireland, Dec. 28, 1870; came to America when he was 17 and settled near West Union; married Eunice McTaggart, June, 14, 1904; couple lived at Elkader and Elkport before moving to a farm in this community in 1925; came to Strawberry Point in 1934; since living here Mr. Cassidy had conducted a pool hall and tavern; leaves widow, two daughters, Mrs. John O'Connor, Cedar Rapids, and Ann, at home; and one granddaughter; a son preceded him; funeral, 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic church; burial at Elkader.
