Funeral services for Alice Jean (Regal) Kile, age 66, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21 at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas with Father Peter Kovarik officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in McGregor, Iowa.

Alice Jean, daughter of Ruby Margaret (O'Brien) and Edward William Regal, was born on November 2, 1934 at her grandmother's home in McGregor, Iowa. She graduated from McGregor High School in 1952. In high school she played basketball and also played baritone in band. She grew up loving horses and was in a horse group called Whistlin' Bit that went around to various fairs and rodeos to square dance on horseback. She also enjoyed bowling and through this she met her husband, Robert Delmar Kile. They were married on September 26, 1964. They soon left McGregor to pursue Bob's new job opportunity at Theodore Roosevelt National Monument in Medora, North Dakota. In 1971, they moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas. Alice worked at Evans Plunge for 23 years and for the Hot Springs School Food Service for 13 years. Alice was active in various clubs and activities and St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Alice Jean Kile died Friday, August 17, 2001 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband who died on August 28, 1997.

She is survived by her daughter Bobbie (Grant) Hamaker; 3 grandchildren, Matthew Alan Hamaker, Tierra Jean Hamaker, and Kristofer Edward Hamaker, all of Hot Springs, Arkansas; 2 brothers, Dennis Regal of McGregor, Iowa and Leland Regal of Marion, Iowa.
