Funeral services for Dorothy M. Schrader, age 94, of McGregor, Iowa, were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 24 at the Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home in McGregor, with burial in the Eastside Cemetery in Elkader, Iowa.

Dorothy M., daughter of Henry and Ida (Mueller) Miller Bente, was born October 25, 1906 in Elkader, Iowa. She attended school in Elkader, Iowa. On September 19, 1928 she was united in marriage to Lorenz Wilke in Dubuque, Iowa. They owned Wilke's Feed Store in Fayette, Iowa for many years and then moved to Farmersburg, Iowa. Lorenz died on February 12, 1964. She married Fred Schrader in 1966 and he died in 1967. Dorothy moved to McGregor in the early 70's and worked at the Alexander Hotel for many years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Dorothy M. Schrader died Wednesday, August 22, 2001 at the Great River Care Center in McGregor, Iowa. In addition to her two husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son Kenneth Wilke, a sister, and two brothers. *They were not named.*

Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Iva Wolverton of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, LeAnne Pierce, Dave Wolverton, Lorene Kautman, and Rick Wilke.
