Funeral services for Idella Landt, age 91, of Luana, Iowa were held Tuesday, August 2 at St. John Lutheran Church in Luana, Iowa. The Rev. Harold McMillin officiated. Burial was in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Luana, Iowa. Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Monona, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.

Idella Delores Althea Wilhelmina, daughter of Charles and Althea (Lembke) Looby, was born December 30, 1919 in Farmersburg, Iowa. She graduated from the Elgin High School in Elgin, Iowa. Idella was united in marriage to Helmuth Landt on November 1, 1952. They were the proud parents of two children. Idella taught Sunday School for many years and enjoyed ceramics, playing cards, and watching the Chicago Cubs.

Idella Landt died Friday, July 29, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Center in Postville, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Helmuth Landt in 2003; 1 son, Paul Landt; 2 sisters, Dorothy Troester and Patricia Looby; and 2 brothers, Charleton Looby and Lyle Looby.

Idella is survived by her daughter, Lynne Seabrooke of Elgin, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, Alan H. Seabrooke of Elgin, Iowa, Andy C. Seabrooke of Earlville, Iowa, Kari M. Seabrooke of Des Moines, Iowa, and Paul T. Seabrooke of Elgin, Iowa; 2 sisters-in-law, Rosalyn Krambeer, and Margaret Sebastian, in addition to several nieces and nephews.
