Funeral services for Milton, Iowa resident, Charles Pixler, age 85, formerly of McGregor, Iowa, were held Monday October 14 at 3:00 p.m. at the Albrecht Funeral home. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in McGregor, Iowa.

Charles Pixler was born March 16, 1906 at McGregor, Iowa. He was married to Edith Clinton on January 31, 1926. They farmed in the McGregor area and moved to Milton, Iowa 12 years ago.

Charles died Friday, October 11, 1991 at Rock Haven, where he had been for the last two years. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mae Hartman, a brother Albert Pixler, and 3 grandchildren, Vickie Hinkel, Donnie Hinkel, and Ronnie Moody.

He is survived by his wife, Edith of Milton, Iowa; one son, William (Sue) Pixler of Janesville, Iowa; 5 daughters, Wanda (Neil) Tollefson of Ft. Atkinson, Iowa, LaVonne Moody, Jean (Del) Hinkel, and Jackie Zimmerman, all of Milton, Iowa; Kay (Milton) Voss of Monona, Iowa; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Bertha Abel of Montana and Ida Buresh of Alaska.
