Strawberry Point, Ia., Jan. 14 - The death of James Dunsmore occurred at a hospital at Independence Wednesday morning. The body will be brought here for burial but funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Strawberry Point, Ia., Jan. 16 - Funeral services for J.P. Dunsmore were held Friday afternoon at the M.E. church, conducted by the Rev. T.J. Elwick and the Rev. L. Troiyer of the Congregational church. The pallbearers were Dr. F.H. Howard, J.R. King, L.W. Preston, M.F. Harwood, J.J. Matthewsland, C.B. Moser. Interment was made in the County Corners cemetery. Members of the Masonic lodge and M.W.A. had charge of the services at the grave.

Mr. Dunsmore was born near County Corners in 1862 and died on Jan. 13. He attended school at Manchester, later going to Upper Iowa university where he remained two years. He spent five years in Kansas and Nebraska and returned to Iowa in 1892.

He was married to Miss Cora E. Teesdale in 1888. Two children survive. They are Carysle C., Milwaukee, and Mrs. Edna E. Pringle, West Union.

His first wife died in 1896 and in 1897 he was married to Miss Mary Johnston.

For 19 years he was a traveling salesman for the International Harvest company, was a deputy internal revenue collector for more than three years, manager of the Strawberry Point Co-Operative Commission company, secretary of the Strawberry Point Fair association, and for three years secretary of the Strawberry Point Co-Operative Creamery, member of the board of education, justice of the peace and member of the town council.

He is survived by his widow, two children, one granddaughter, one sister, Mrs. L.L. Hines, of this place and one brother, Charles H. Dunsmore, Fort Dodge.

J.P. Dunsmore Died.
Relatives here of J.P. Dunsmore of Strawberry Point received word of his death, the first of the week at the hospital at Independence where he had been taken the Sunday before for treatment. Mr. Dunsmore's illness was of nearly a year's duration. His funeral was held Friday p.m. in the M.E. church at Strawberry Point with burial in the cemetery at County Corners
