Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Funeral services for Milton Edward Hamann, of Monona, Iowa were held Saturday, December 30 at 11 a.m. at Schultz Funeral Home in Monona, Iowa. Pastor Harold O. Ward officiated. Burial was in Monona City Cemetery in Monona, Iowa with Schultz Funeral Home of Monona in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Larry and Jerry Schroeder, James Duvel, Gary Gress, Thomas Moses and Donald Bacon.
Milton Edward Hamann, son of Edward and Selma (Bruehahn) Hamann, was born October 10, 1920 in Allamakee County, Iowa. He attended Luana Public School and served in the Army in Korea from 1945 to 1947. He returned to the Monona area and worked at Sinclair Oil Service Station and later Pronto Sinclair until retiring in November of 1982.
Milton died Wednesday, December 27, 1989 at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Monona, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two sisters, Florence Schroeder of Monona, Iowa and Laura Duvel of Postville, Iowa; a niece and a nephew.
