Funeral services for Mae Baskerville of Monona, Iowa were held Wednesday, May 1, 1991 at the Garden City United Methodist Church in Monona. Rev. Gary Dobbins officiated. Burial was in the Monona City Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were her two youngest grandsons David Baskerville and William Baskerville, and granddaughters, Wanda Wendt, Terri Baskerville, Tammy Baskerville, and Carol Pinter. Active pallbearers were Wendell Wendt, Dennis Baskerville, Robert Baskerville, Joseph Baskerville, Scott Baskerville, and Joseph Pinter. Schultz Funeral Home was in charge of services.

Mae Elizabeth, daughter of Henry and Minnie (Waalk) Hupfer, was born November 6, 1894 in Monona, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed in the Monona Methodist Church. She received her education in Monona graduating from high school in 1912. On December 24, 1919 Mae was united in marriage to Wendell Henry Baskerville. To this union four children were born. The couple farmed near Monona, Iowa most of their married life. She was a member of the Garden City United Methodist Church and W.W.I Barracks Auxiliary.

Mae died Sunday April 28, 1991 at the Veteran's Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa. She had been a resident at the Postville Good Samaritan Home for three years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wendell who died September 29, 1985; 1 daughter, Edna Mae Wendt and her husband Marvin Wendt; 1 sister, Florence Pape; 1 brother Page Hupfer and daughter-in-law, Louise Baskerville.

She is survived by her 3 sons, William (Edith) Baskerville of Monona, Iowa, Robert Baskerville of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Richard (Doris) Baskerville of Des Moines, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, Wendell Wendt, Dennis Baskerville, Robert Baskerville, Joseph Baskerville, Scott Baskerville, William Baskerville, David Baskerville, Wanda Wendt, Terri Baskerville, Tammy Baskerville, and Carol Pinter; 6 great-grandchildren, Emily Baskerville, Robert Baskerville, Hunter Baskerville, Lauren Baskerville, Matthew Baskerville, and Melissa Baskerville.
