Funeral services for Elaine Betty Moser were held Saturday, September 22 at 11 a.m. in the Community Presbyterian Church, Postville, Iowa. Rev. Terrance Hennesy officiated and Rev. Dick Harberts participated in the service. Schutte Funeral Service, Postville, Iowa was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the National Cemetery, rural Garnavillo, Iowa. Casket bearers were Dr. Milton Schlein, LaVerne Rose, Paul Braham, Darwin Fritz, James Foster, Lyle Opheim, Don Drahn, and Carl Marsh.

Elaine Betty, daughter of Robert and Selma (Anderson) Demo, was born March 6, 1925 at Garnavillo, Iowa. On July 20, 1947 she married Paul Moser at the Giard Methodist Church. She taught in the public schools for 12 years, four of those were as a social studies teacher at the Postville Junior High. She spent her entire married life in Postville with the exception of 4 years in Ames, Iowa. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church where she served on the Building and Grounds and Landscaping Committee. She had also served as an Elder, Church Treasurer, and on the Christian Education Committee.

Elaine died Wednesday, September 19, 1990 at Bettendorf, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Helen Demo.

Surviving are her husband, Dr. Paul N. Moser of Postville, Iowa; 2 daughters, Jane (James) Anderson of Bettendorf, Iowa and Paula (Dr. Steve) Keller of Coralville, Iowa; a son John (Rosemarie) Moser of Postville, Iowa; 2 grandchildren, Paul Keller and Jaclyn Keller; 2 sisters, Virgil Selma Fritz of Garnavillo, Iowa, and Abigail "Gail" Gore of Dunlap, Illinois, and a brother Owen Demo of Belmont, Wisconsin.
