Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Funeral services for Kendall "Thunder" Warren Mork, age 42, were held Tuesday, February 4 at 112 a.m. in the Marion Lutheran Church in Gunder, Iowa. the Rev. William Palmquist officiated. Schutte Funeral Service of Clermont, Iowa was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Gunder Cemetery. Casket bearers were Curtis Anderson, Robert J. Shafer, Jim Downey, Noel Smith, John Michael McMillan, and Francis Arthur.
Kendall Warren Mork, son of Kenneth Benjamin and Georgia (Meyer) Mork, was born August 17, 1949 in Postville, Iowa. Kendall graduated from the Valley High School in Elgin, Iowa in 1967 and from the Northwest Missouri State College at Maryville, Missouri with a degree in marketing. He owned and operated Thunder's Feed and Grain and T.K Silk in Edgewood, Iowa, where he lived for the last 15 years. He had previously lived in Clermont, Iowa.
He died February 1, 1992 at Scenic Acres, a residential care facility near St. Olaf, Iowa. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth, who died January 7, 1987 and a great-nephew, Joshua Mack, who died June 20, 1991.
Kendall is survived by his mother, Georgia Mork of Elgin, Iowa; 2 sisters, Janann (Alan) Seabrooke of Elgin, Iowa and Nona (Wayne) Sawyer of Waukon, Iowa; 5 nieces and nephews, Jill (Randy) Mack, Tim (Lynn) Seabrooke, Robin Sawyer, Scott Sawyer and Julie Sawyer; and 6 great-nephews and nieces, Christian and Shannon Mack, Alan Seabrooke, Andrew Seabrooke, and Kari Seabrooke, and Haley Sawyer.
