Memorial services for Connie Kay (Henkes) Jurging of Cedar Rapids, Iowa were held Wednesday, November 27 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids. The Rev. Norman Wall officiated. Her body was cremated and placed at the Czech National Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; an aunt, uncles, and cousins.

Connie Kay was born December 22, 1947 at Farmersburg, Iowa to Calvin and Shirley (Sass) Henkes. She was baptized March 7, 1948 and confirmed March 26, 1961 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg, Iowa by Rev. H.H. Steege. Connie attended and graduated from the M-F-L School in 1966. She had been employed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Connie was united in marriage to William W. Jurging on February 14, 1976 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They owned and operated Auto Service Corp. They were the parents of one son.

Connie died Saturday, November 23, 1991 at her home following a long illness. She reached the age of 43 years.

Survivors include her husband, William and their son Tobin "Toby" Jurging at home; her parents, Calvin and Shirley Henkes; and 7 sisters, Deanna Sandberg of Rockford, Illinois, Marsha (Lloyd) Feickert and Sheryl (Steve) Kruse, both of Marion, Iowa, Janice (Rick) Johanningmeier of Monona, Iowa, Jeanne (Paul) Miller of Luana, Iowa, Debbie (Brian) Meyer of Monona, Iowa, and Carmen (David) Schrader of Sheldon, Iowa; 18 nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, LaDeema Jurging; and a brother-in-law, Dennis (Bea) Jurging of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
