Florence Hazlett died January 1, 1992 at the Greenwood Manor in Iowa City, Iowa. Funeral arrangements will be handled by the Schultz Funeral Home, Monona, Iowa. Burial to be at the City Cemetery in Monona, Iowa at a later date.
Florence was born near Sundance, Wyoming on September 8, 1905, the daughter of Willard and Edna (Wells) Thompson. She was united in marriage to George Irwin Hazlett at Blue Earth, Minnesota on February 6, 1930.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother Ellsworth Rickets and one grandson, David W. Lepine.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Nina Day of Indianapolis, Indiana and Vivienne Lepine of Austin, Texas; 3 sons, Edgar Hazlett of Hudson, Michigan, Dean Hazlett of Clarksville, Tennessee, and James Hazlett of Dover, Tennessee; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Mary White of St. Louis, Missouri.
