Funeral services for Kathryn Fritz were held Wednesday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patick's Catholic Church, Monona, Iowa. Father John Moran officiated. Schultz Funeral Home of Monona, Iowa was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the St. Patrick's Cemetery in Monona, Iowa. Casket bearers were Kevin Klotzbach, Michael Ryan, Jeremy Ryan, Dave Boisjoli, Christopher Ryan, and Eric Tietje. Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Klotzbach, Mark Tietje, and Ralph Bacon.

Kathryn Margaret, the daughter of Riley and Theresa (Laufer) Moody, was born May 10, 1916 at McGregor, Iowa. She received her education in the McGregor Public Schools. Kathryn was united in marriage to Lester John Fritz on October 1, 1936 at McGregor, Iowa. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Kathryn enjoyed raising violets, doing crossword puzzles, and playing the organ. She was the church organist for 12 years at St. Patrick's Church in Monona.

Kathryn died Monday, May 26, 1997 at Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin at the Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lester, who died March 21, 1979, 1 brother, Jim Moody and 1 sister, Helen Milewsky.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Julie (Jerry) Klotzbach of New Brighton, Minnesota, Linda (Ralph) Bacon of Postville, Iowa, and Cheryl (Mark) Tietje of Batavia, Illinois; 7 grandchildren, Kevin Klotzbach, Kathy Boisjoli, Michael Ryan, Christopher Ryan, Jeremy Ryan, Eric Tietje, and Cara Tietje; 2 great-grandchildren, Zachary Ryan and Nicholas Ryan; and 1 sister, Ann Hurley of Volga, Iowa
