Funeral services for Bryan Traetow were held Sunday, July 21 at St. John Lutheran Church in Luana, Iowa. Pastor Ted Ager officiated. Burial was in the Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Pallbearers were Jesse Bernhard, Dan Harbaugh, Jason Echard, Gregg Greaser, Stan Klotzbach, Jr. and Chad Sweet. Schultz Funeral Home in Monona, Iowa was in charge of the arrangements.

Bryan Wayne Traetow was born December 24, 1969 in Tomah, Wisconsin to Bill and Helen (Andreszcuk) Traetow. He was baptized February 8, 1970 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wilton, Wisconsin and confirmed May 6, 1984 at St. John Lutheran Church in Luana, Iowa. Bryan attended MFL School, graduating from high school in 1988. He attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, Iowa for two years, where he studied aviation and became a private pilot. He was enrolled at Iowa State University at Ames, Iowa for the 1991 fall term in the field of aviation engineering. Bryan was presently employed at Double L Manufacturing Company in Monona, Iowa. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Luana. He enjoyed bow hunting, weight lifting, sports, bike riding, skiing, family, friends, and flying.

Bryan died Thursday, July 18, 1991 at Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin Memorial Hospital as a result of a motorcycle accident near Monona, Iowa. Bryan was preceded in death by his grandfathers, LaVern Traetow and John Andreszcuk; his grandmother, Ann Schroepfer, and his uncle, James Traetow.

Surviving are his parents Bill and Helen Traetow of Luana, Iowa, sister, Teresa Traetow of Lakeland, Florida; brother, Randy (Sheryl) Traetow of Waverly, Iowa; niece and Godchild, Amanda Traetow; great-grandmother, Eva Crane of Good Thunder, Minnesota and grandmother Delores Traetow of Bloomington, Minnesota.

Luana- Bryan Traedow, 21, died Thursday in Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wis., of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident near Monona. Services: 2 p.m. Sunday, St. John's Lutheran Church, Luana. Graveside services: 11 a.m. Monday, Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, where a prayer service will be at 8 p.m.

Survivors include his parents, Bill and Helen of Luana; a sister, Teresa of Lakewood, Fla.; and a brother, Randy of Waverly.
