Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Virgil Selma Fritz, daughter of Robert and Selma (Anderson) Demo was born August 14, 1918, rural McGregor, Iowa. On December 23, 1944 she was united in marriage to DeLorse Fritz at the Army Air Force Base, Orlando, Florida. Virgil was a school teacher at Clayton County Schools of Beulah, Froelich, Pioneer School, and primary class at Farmersburg School until her marraige. The past 16 years she worked at the Kountry Manor at National, Iowa.
Virgil died August 24, 1991 at the Prairie Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Burial was in the National Cemetery, National, Iowa. Preceding her in death were her husband, DeLorse, who died March 9, 1967; her parents, and 2 sisters, Helen and Elaine Moser.
Surviving are a son, Larry (Rachel) Fritz of Garnavillo, Iowa, a daughter, Marsha (Denny) Kent of Chariton, Iowa; 5 grandchildren, Chad, Kiel, Leah, Tracy, and Jason; a brother Owen Demo of Belmont, Wisconsin and a sister, Abigail Gore of Dunlap, Illinois.
