Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 1978 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Monona for Evelyn Huinker. Msgr. Donald Heineman and Father John Peters were officiating clergymen. Organist was Mrs. Lester Fritz with music by the Adult Choir. Pallbearers were Wesley Wiedenmann, Rollin Seifert, Tim Schultz, John Ryan, Tom Schofield, and Dick Huinker.
Evelyn Huinker passed away on Sept. 30, 1978 at Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, at the age of 76 years, 10 months, and 0 days. She was laid at rest in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.
Evelyn Wilma Huinker was born November 30, 1901, the daughter of John McNamara and Anna Theodore. Her Mother died in 1913 and she was adopted by Paul Schofield at that time. She was born at Clayton Center. She was married to Charles Havlicek; he preceeded her in death in 1939. She was married to Alfred Huinker, who preceeded her in death in 1958. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and was a member of the Rosary Society.
She leaves to mourn her passing three step sons, Irvin and Adrian Huinker of Monona, and Donald of Baraboo, Wisconsin, two step daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Wilma Marie) Schultz of Monona and Mrs. Gerald (Alice) Shea of Fennimore, Wis.; her sister Irma Schofield of Monona and cousins; 26 step grandchildren; and 19 step great grandchildren. Burial was in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home was in charge of services.
