Katherine M. Huckstadt

A concelebrated funeral Mass was held Mon., Sept. 5, 1977 for Katherine M. Huckstadt at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Monona, with Msgr. Donald Heineman, Father John Fagen, Dubuque, Father Paul McManus, Cedar Rapids officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Donald Huinker, Robert Smith, Gil Hingtgen, Leo Christofferson, Tom Reardon, & Doug Bachman.

Katherine M. Reardon Huckstadt was born in Monona, Iowa on May 1, 1906, the daughter of William and Katherine Buckley Reardon. She was united in marriage to William Huckstadt on March 20, 1928. To this union were born ten children.

She passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque on Sept. 1, 1977 after a short illness at the age of 71 years.

She is survived by seven children - 2 sons and 5 daughters: William of Bennett, Iowa; Terrance of Chatfield, Minn.; Mrs. Realto (Mary) Wille of Monona; Mrs. Wm. (Katherine) Hoskin of Nevada City, Calif.; Mrs. Patricia Keyes of Dubuque; Mrs. Sandra Bollman of Monona and Mrs. Arden (Sharon) Jackley of North Aurora, Ill.; 32 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William, 3 infant sons, 2 brothers - John and William, and one sister, Mary Moses.
