Funeral services for Kenneth Suddendorf were held Friday, July 12, 1991 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Monona, Iowa. Rev. Terry D. Hudson officiated. Honorary pallbearers were Virgil Thompson, Duane Lamker, Carlyle Reeg, Dale Henning, and Verni Kruse. Active pallbearers were Wayne Messler, Harold Messler, LeRoy Messler, Julius Dettman, Tom Wagner, and Delos Martins. Burial was in the Monona City Cemetery. Schultz Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.

Kenneth George Suddendorf was born August 27, 1919 in Monona, Iowa to Arthur and Martha (Montour) Suddendorf. He was confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He received his education in country school and graduated from the Monona High School in 1938. On January 9, 1946 Kenneth was united in marriage to Mardella Aulerich at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monona, Iowa. To this union three children were born. The couple farmed south of Luana for five years and then moved to their farm east of Monona, Iowa where they farmed for 40 years. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Monona, Iowa.

Kenneth died Tuesday, July 9, 1991 at the Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his wife, Mardella; 2 sons, Lonny Suddendorf at Wursmith Air Force Base in Michigan and Larry Suddendorf of Monona, Iowa, 1 daughter, Judy Suddendorf of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 4 grandchildren Ashley, Whitney, Brody, and Colby; 1 sister, Irene Messler of Postville, Iowa and 2 brothers, Robert Suddendorf of Rochester, Minnesota, and Eugene Suddendorf of Postville, Iowa.
