Lillian Emma Hensel

Lillian Emma Hensel was born March 13, 1903 in Watson, Iowa to parents Herman and Emma Genz Hensel. She died Sunday, Jan. 2, 1994 at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon. She was 90.

She had been a resident at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon, and a member of Garden City United Methodist Church in Monona.

Preceding her in death were her parents and seven brothers and sisters, Mrs. Will Schlitter, Art Hensel, Mrs. Emil Schlitter, Mayme Fett, Mrs. Leonard C. Wagner, Willia Hensel and Dewey Hensel. Surviving are nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 4, 1993 at 11 a.m. at Garden City Methodist Church in Monona, the Rev. Gary Dobbins officiating. Burial was in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Monona. Honorary pallbearers were David Schlitter, Marjorie Schlitter, Howard Schlitter, Florence Plozel, Adeline McFarlane, Harvey Schlitter, Robert Schlitter and Alice Palas. Schultz's Funeral home in Monona was in charge of services.
