Delbert C. J. Reincke, age 88, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Monday December 21, 2009 at Manor Care Health Service. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23 at Locke Funeral Home with military rites by the VFW Post 1623 and American Legion Post 138. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo, Iowa.

Delbert was born March 21, 1921 in Monona, Iowa, son of Fredrick and Louise (Apple) Reincke. He married Joyce M. Flack on October 30, 1946 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Mr. Reincke served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked at Rath Meat Packing Plant and retired in 1983.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce; a daughter, Mary Louise Reincke; a brother Arno Reincke, and 3 sisters, Mardella Reckward, Laverna Schopp, and Arlene Lundt.

Delbert is survived by 5 daughters, Julie Reincke, Carol Burger, and Susan Reincke, all of Waterloo, Iowa, Shirley (Jim) Garrison of Desoto, Iowa and Pam (Don) Fintel of Lebannon, Missouri; 6 sons, Roger (Pauline) Reincke, Jeff (Pam) Reincke, Bryan Reincke, and John Reincke, all of Waterloo, Iowa, Doug (Merri Elin) Reincke of Boise, Idaho, and Jason (Julie) Reincke of Beaverton, Oregon; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Fred (Mabel) Reincke of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
