Funeral services for Hattie Harnack were held Thursday, January 17, 1980, at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg, with Pastor Karl E. Hansen officiating. Pallbearers were James Probert, Keith Radloff, Kenneth Radloff, John Klinge, Elmer Shade, and Ivan Krueger. Burial was in the Garnavillo Cemetery. Organist was Mrs. James Walter and the Church Choir sang. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, was in charge of services.
Hattie Anna Caroline Harnack, the daughter of Henry and Emma (Ihde) Harnack, was born January 7, 1909, in Farmersburg Township. She was baptized March 2, 1909, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Garnavillo, and confirmed November 5, 1922 at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg. She attended school in Farmersburg.
For thirty years she was housekeeper for Ed Busch. She died January 14, 1980, at Central Community Hospital, Elkader, having reached the age of 70 years, 11 months, 7 days.
Preceding her in death were her parents and an infant sister, Leona.
Surviving are an aunt, Mrs. Edna Harnack of Farmersburg, and many cousins. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
