MARIE NEIDERMEIER PREITAUER was married to Henry Carl Preitauer. ( He was also known as Heinrich and Charles.) They may have come to Iowa from Ortenburg, Bavaria, Germany as early as 1853. The names of her parents as well as the dates of her birth and death are unknown, although she most likely died before 1865.

She had at least 3 children
Catherine (1847-1910... m. Isador Fleihler)
Martin (1856-1941 ...m. Elizabeth Shuchmann), and
Rose (1862-1941 ...m.
Christian Kamm, ?Baker, Julius Koenemann).

She is buried in an unmarked grave along with her husband and 3 others in the Saint Sebald Cemetery Lot H 33.
