Miss Nellie O'Brien, 65, died Friday at Mercy hospital, Oelwein. She was born near Cox Creek, March 13, 1878.

Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Austin Thyne of Volga City. The funeral was held Monday morning at 9:30 at Sacred Heart church in Volga City. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery there. Father Noonan officiated.
