Strawberry Point - Funeral services for Walter John Thyne, 58, Strawberry Point, will be held from St. Mary's Catholic church here Monday at 9:30 a.m.; burial in St. Mark's cemetery at Edgewood; born May 12, 1892, in Cox Creek township north of Strawberry Point, son of Austin and Mary Henry Thyne; on Apr. 6, 1920, he married Pauline Putz at Edgewood; farmed in the Edgewood vicinity until four years ago, when they bought their present farm at the west edge of Strawberry Point; died of a heart attack while eating supper at his home on Wednesday; leaves widow; a daughter, Mrs. Ray Thole, of Lamont; a son, John, at home and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Grace Wiley, Mrs. D.G. Courtnage SR, Mrs. Anna Mullen, Miss Josephine Thyne and Austin Thyne, all of Strawberry Point; Mrs. Albert Putz, Edgewood, Emmet Thyne, Volga, and Robert Thyne, Elkport; preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Behrens and Mrs. Isabelle Jacobia, and two brothers, William Thyne and Hubert Thyne.
