Herman F. Anderegg, age 85, passed away at St. Francis Hospital, La Crosse, Wisconsin on Wednesday Nov 11th after an illness of several weeks.

Mr. Anderegg had been a resident of the community of West Bend since 1895, being one of the early pioneers of Garfield Twp.

Herman F. Anderegg, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Anderegg was born at Guttenberg, Iowa on August 19, 1868. He spent most of his early life in that community and on April 25th, 1892 was united in marriage to Theresa M. Heckel. In the spring of 1895 they moved to their farm east of West Bend where they resided until the death of Mrs. Anderegg in 1949.

They were the parents of six children: three sons, Edmund of Britt, Harold of Dougherty, Dwaine of La Crosse, Wisconsin; three daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Bonnstetter of West Bend, Mrs. Oscar (Evelyn) Movick of Thompson, and Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Lee of Onalaska, Wisconsin, all of whom survive. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. J.M. Abbott of Guttenberg.

In addition to his farming activities he was a successful auctioneer and during his life he took an active part in civic affairs. He was a devoted husband and father and always had the welfare of his family at heart. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Funeral services for Herman F. Anderegg, 85, were held at [paper folded] afternoon at 2 o'clock. Officiating clergyman were Rev. Harold Olson and Rev. D.D. Samuelson of Kanawha. Soloist was Mrs. Edward Nessen who sang "Face to Face" and "Good Night and Good Morning." Mrs. R.W. Jurgens was the accompanist. In charge of the floral tribute arrangement were Mrs. L.B. West and Mrs. Grace Crisman. Casket bearers were Charles Frieden, Tom Ketelsen, Fred Kuecker, Dr. P.O. Dorweiler, Frank Te Bockhorst and Norman Helleseth.

Interment was in the West Bend cemetery with the Bogaard Funeral Home of West Bend in charge of arrangements.

Attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. John Anderegg and son Richard, Mr. Edwin Anderegg of Guttenberg, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Scott, Nashua, Ia.; Russell Brown, Edgely, N. Dakota; Wiliam Brown, Jamestown, N. Dakota; Mr. and Mrs. D.J. Lenarz, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Siemers of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mikes of Fairfax, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Anderegg, Moneta, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Dorweiler, Hamel, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Carrol Pate, Clarion, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Sloan, Cedar Falls, Iowa and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Brown, Mason City, Iowa.
