Funeral services for Gail Saueressig were held Tuesday, May 2, at 2:00 p.m. at the Schultz Funeral Home in Monona, Iowa. She died Saturday, April 29, 2000. Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiated. Pallbearers were Dale Miller, Kenneth and Dailene Abbas, James Miller, Kristin Hayes and Cory Hayes. Burial was in the Monona City Cemetery. Schultz Funeral Home was in charge of services.

Gail Saueressig, daughter of Gifford and Winnie (Oliver) McGoon was born September 14, 1908. She was baptized at the Monona Methodist Church. Gail graduated from Monona High School in 1926. She was united in marriage to Edwin Saueressig on September 8, 1927 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They made their home in Columbus, Indiana.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edwin, who died December 27, 1996.

Monona- Gall/Gail Saleressig, 91, of Columbus, Ind., formerly of Monona, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, in Columbus Regional Hospital, Columbus, following a short illness. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, by the Rev. Dennis Gilbert. Burial: Monona City Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m Tuesday at the funeral Home.

There are no immediate survivors.
