Mark Edward Nuehring, age 69, died Friday, March 18, 2011, at his home in Marion, Iowa. Memorial services were held Tuesday, at 11:30 a.m., March 22 at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion, Iowa. Burial will be in the Monona Lutheran Cemetery in Monona, Iowa at a later date. Murdoch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mark was born November 28, 1941 in Monona, Iowa, the son of Daymond and Elizabeth (Pufahl) Nuehring. On May 26, 1963 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Houg in Monona, Iowa. Mark worked in the automotive parts business for 51 years, ending his career at Junge, in Center Point, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; 2 daughters, Karla (Steve) St. John of Waukee, Iowa and Holly Nuehring (fiance Ray Schrader and son Austyn) of Des Moines, Iowa; 2 grandchildren, Brett and Annie St. John; and 2 brothers, Dan (Evelyn) Nuehring of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Stan (Diana) Nuehring of Nashville, Tennessee.
